Information Security Conference ( ISC )

From 1994, ISC is held 12 times every May and is the most important academic activity of CCISA. The characteristic of ISC is to accept many excellent papers and to choose two of them as “The Best Paper” and “The Best Student Paper”. The winners can be subsidized to participate in the important international cryptography conferences. Besides this, ISC also invites the outstanding international information security associations and the new talents in Taiwan to give lectures. Through the participation and lectures of these outstanding scholars, ISC expects to promote the level of the research of information security in Taiwan.

FIPS 140-1 Short Term Training

The Training was held in National Taiwan University of Science and Technology on April 19 and 20, 1999 and was sponsored by the Directorate General of Telecommunications Ministry of Transportation and Communications. The training introduced and discussed the idea of cryptogram administration, brief introduction of FIPS 140-1 examined system and the policy of cryptogram control all over the world.

Member meeting

The meeting is held regularly every August or September. CCISA held the first member meeting of the third term in National Taiwan University of Science and Technology on September 1, 2001 and elected the chairmen in the meeting. Chair Laih, the board chairman of the second term, was reappointed and the term of his office is from September 1, 2000 to September 1, 2003.

Information Security Strategy Seminar

The Seminar was held in the Research Institute of the Ministry of Communications and the sponsors were National Security Bureau, Research, Development and Evaluation Commission and the Directorate General of Telecommunications Ministry of Transportation and Communications. The participants of the seminar discussed and communicated with the related policy of information security.

Science interchange in Japan

Chair Laih and some chairmen participated in the ICPP-99 in Japan in September 1999 and visited NEC Computer and Communication Research Institute.

System Security Support Short-term Training

CCISA held Short-term Training in National Taiwan University of Science and Technology on August 26, 2002. The main participants of this training were the network administration members of every governmental organization.
